What Fifus is and is not
Fifus is a price comparison service. We do not sell goods and we are not a party to the purchase contract. We display shop offers from their publicly available product exports and link to the shop where the purchase takes place. The contractual relationship, shipping, warranty, complaints and withdrawal from the contract are a matter for the shop, not Fifus.
Prices and availability are taken from shop exports and may change between our update and your purchase. The price stated at the shop is always binding. For every offer we state when we last saw it.
What we base the ranking on
The main ranking parameter is the total price, that is the price of the goods plus shipping when the shop publishes it. We never show an offer without known shipping as the cheapest and we don't replace missing shipping with zero; we flag such an offer and place it last.
In text search, the match between the query and the product name and brand also enters the ranking; when browsing a category we sort by the number of comparable offers and price.
Ranking can't be bought. We don't accept payment for placement, for favouring an offer or for including a shop in the catalog, and no commission influences the ranking. If that ever changes, we'll state it here and directly on the affected offers.
Personal data
You don't need an account to browse Fifus and we don't keep profiles of visitors. Traffic measurement is aggregate: we record the event type (product view, click-through to a shop, market comparison), the product or offer identifier, the chosen country and the time. We don't store the IP address, a browser identifier or anything that could link a record to a person, and we don't combine these records into sessions.
Web server operational logs contain the IP address, as is common in website operation and necessary for security; we keep them briefly and don't use them for profiling.
If you write to us at info@fifus.sk, we process the content of the message and your email address in order to reply. You have the right to access your data, to correct and erase it, to restrict processing and to lodge a complaint with the Slovak Data Protection Authority.
Shop content
Names, parameters, prices and photographs come from individual shop exports. We display photographs directly from the shop's server; we don't store them or redistribute them. If you are a shop and want us to stop displaying your offers, write to info@fifus.sk and we'll remove the source.
Accessibility
We build Fifus to work without a mouse and without JavaScript: search is an ordinary form, products are links, the heading order is continuous and animations respect the system reduced-motion setting. If you can't reach something, write to info@fifus.sk. We treat it as a bug.
